| Driving directions from Saintes: |

 Take the D728, direction Marennes and Ile d’Oléron. After about
25 miles (40km’s), the D728 bypasses the town of Marennes and comes to a roundabout.Take the second exit sign-posted La Tremblade (and Palmyre Zoo). Continue along this road for a
further 2 miles (3.2km’s).You will pass over the 1km long ‘Pont de
la Seudre’ (Seudre Bridge). After the bridge, you will come to a roundabout with two ‘paper boat’ features in the centre.Take the second exit towards Arvert and Royan on the D25.After about 2 miles (3.2km’s) there is another roundabout.Take the first exit
sign-posted Dirée.Along this road, you pass through the small village of Diree, continue along the country road eventually passing through a semi-residential area before coming to another roundabout.At this roundabout take the second exit towards La
Palmyre. After about 3/4 mile (1.2km’s), take the turning on the
left, the campsite is sign-posted here clearly with a large green and white sign. Follow this road for 0.5 mile (0.8km) and Camping Palmyre Loisirs is on the left-hand side. |
